| | | Make up. You can get some subtle make up to blend the burn into your skin.
and please don't take them any more - they are damaging...

To avoid those burns in the future, you might want to try dabbing the poppers on a portion of a dry wash cloth, placing the cloth over your mouth and inhaling.

It's a bit of the popper fluid itself that has touched the area of skin under the nose.
And I agree with the posters who say you just have to wait for it to heal.
(I don't use them; they're not good for you at all, and the poppers available today, at least in North America, are useless, imo.)

Good luck with the healing. | When I used to use them a lot, I'd put some Vaseline around the nostrils. I no longer like them and think they cheapen the beauty of my dick and all the other guys--they give you this weird sensation that Life is All Dick. Now that's okay if you can then transfer this to non-popper states, but it is not going to be possible to do poppers indefinitely without serious health risks. Rubi's right about the liquid getting on the nostrils, but it's also true that you wouldn't get the burns unless you snorted a lot of them at a time and on a regular basis. I recently saw a popper queen at a club who would snort from his bottle about every 30 seconds. He was quite out of his mind, but had a great body so I finger-fucked him, which thrilled him.
Definitely agree with trying to stop using them, or using them only right before coming, say, to reduce use if you're still addicted. I use them once a year when on vacation, but I only use them for fantasy-jackings, not when I'm fucking other guys, because they interrupt my hard-on unless I'm lying on my back alone and working on MyCock as a special Science Size Project. Face it--many things are not good for you, but if you're going to use some of them anyway, it's definitely moderation as the way to go. I smoke cigarettes once a week and have wine once a week--things like that; if you can limit the use of these toxic pleasure-substances, the likelihood of injury is, of course, less likely. Most here and elsewhere disagree with me, and I agree as well that most people do either need to NEVER use, because using things like that without getting addicted requires a lot more discipline. Most do better to get rid of them altogether (as some have said in the credit card, AA and NA threads, and sleeping pill threads yesterday.) I don't know if there's anything I can think of right now that I 100% never do except barebacking, and that's is strictly interdit--NO NON-CONDOM CORNHOLING! Oh yeah, I never do, nor have done, cocaine or heroin, ecstasy (since living in it constantly anyway), or crystal meth. All those would scare me to even try. Also don't ever do pot because makes me think I'm dying, so who needs this shit? Not since 1991. I love it: I, Becoming-Horse, am a Marijuana-holic and I have been sober since New Year's Eve, 1991....

| | | It's a chemical burn, the tissue is damaged and will just have to heal.
Please, do NOT try the vaseline-under-the-nose trick. That very well could make matters much worse. Trust me on this one, from a chemist's point of view. The net effect could be that the vaseline could absorb the poppers, and hold it in contact with the skin even longer than if the liquid just evaporates on its own.
The fumes actually do the same thing to your entire respiratory system, just to a much lesser degree than the liquid.
Using poppers is not good or neutral, but the harm is just a matter of degree. Two or three times a year isn't likely to be too damaging, but frequent use (several times a week or more) will cause damage to several body systems, especially the respiratory system. I'm thinking it's most likely not too good for the liver, either.

I didn't give them up until I didn't like them anymore, that won't work for everybody. If I've been damaged from using them in the past, it hasn't shown yet, but I am sure that DCDeep is giving the best info if you can give them up completely. Heed his advice.
Am sure he's right in terms of the liver, which is not happy with ANY stimulant, or I was told that by a physician once.

Makes me pretty contracted, but I still smoke it when I bump into it.
I suppose I too am a marijuana-holic, so I never buy it.
I just take a nice bottle of booze to the places where it will be offered. That's my contribution. And the smokeables, under this arrangement, only cross my path maybe every two weeks, which is fine by me.
