15 inches!!

Does anyone remember the verb "retouch"? It seems to me to make poor sense to use the verb "photoshop" when you are talking about the physical alteration of photographs rather than their alteration by computer processing. It is also anachronistic to speak of photoshopping being done before there was any such thing as Photoshop. The photos should be described as retouched, not photoshopped. Anyway, they look fake to me.

I fear most would call on your claim. Regardless, without any evidence it remains just that: a claim.

Can anybody really be taken in these days? A wonderful faked job.

I'm not scolding you on the term "photoshop" Calboner, I just used your quote as a launch for what I was going to say. The term photoshopping refers to the act of retouching, compositing, and color correction. I think the word that we are both looking for is photo manipulation. Either way, you have a GOOD eye for spotting these as a fake.

The biggest problem I have with these pics is the fact that the light source in the room is fairly ambient and not directional at all. the photographer was standing directly in front of the boy and his flash should have illuminated his penis evenly because the photographer is standing in front of the subject. The shadows on his penis are all on the left side which would imply that there is a strong light source coming from the right hand side of the room and that the rest of his body and face should be illuminated the same way. They are not, there is a strong black shadow running along the entire length of the penis on the left hand side and there is no light source in the room that would have provided that shadow. There is also some aliasing and quantization distortion artifacts on the base and sides of his penis, which imply that there has been photo manipulation done on the pics. I have included some blow-ups and have drawn arrows where the offending photo manipulation tactics where employed.

Again, this lad has the skeletal frame of a 15 year old boy, if not younger. His ribcage has not matured yet... not only is his penis fake, but the boy is DEFINITELY under 18.

Boy this really brings back memories. I received these in the 90s from a kid who had a story to accompany the photos he claimed as himself. While I know they are likely (ok, very likely) faked, I found them extremely hot for some reason. Remember, this was in the days of extremely limited content. Much spooge spilled. Actually one of the shots you posted is one I never saw.

I add to the chorus requesting the posting of the dozen shots you have.

I'm not agreeing that these are real or not, just making an observation.
It seems that I have noticed for the most part, that there are a few members always seem to yell fake/photoshop or accuse people of lying if they see something or someone claims to bigger than they are.

Remember before the ranting starts, I'm not agreeing that these are real or not. Neither am I pointing fingers at any particular person, just making an observation.

I was PM'd and because of a long association with Gary Griffin asked to comment on the photos in question. The person who PM'd me felt that these had originally been released by Gary Griffin years go. I was indeed surprised to see more of these old war horse photos than I remembered even Gary Griffin having.

Gary died in 1996 and the pictures based on what we learned at the time Gary acquired them dated back to probably somewhere between 1968 and 1971. That would make those pictures somewhere between 37 and 40 years old.

In a strange coincidence Gary used a cropped version of these in a publication and they were recognized by some fellow in the midwest as a student where he had attended High School. He stated that the fellow in the pictures did look younger than his years and was the terrible brunt of great cruelty in High School because of his size. He was physically smaller than average in every area except one and he was constantly being harrassed and beaten by the "jocks".

The fellow went into great detail on his experiences at knowing the fellow and stated that he (this well hung teen) had endured so much suffering because of his size that he (the fellow writing) had wondered what had happened to this other young man.

Considering that we had the Viet Nam War and many other things that would have come into play including the draft he was concerned.

If the photo subject managed to survive he would probably in 2008 be somewhere between 54 and 60 years old.

Gary did take the photos to a friend who knew how to do photo analysis at the time to see if the photos themselves had been faked. The "expert" at the time said that there was no evidence that these were fake that he could see again based on the photographic techniques at the time and the peculiarities of how bad the photo work was.

Often photos that were questionable were said to be taken in other countries. I have no way of knowing anything more than I have said and that is from some very sketchy old memories. After Gary died his photo collection went to places unknown.

We may never know the whole story here, but based on what we had in information at the time these photos have a very good chance of not having been faked which is a pleasant change from "the norm" these days.

Like several others I have only seen a few and I have always wondered exactly how many were taken. I would bet that if this was legit that there were probably close to 100 taken in that photo session. The one thing I know was that based on the statements of an anonymous individual to Gary that this was probably some individual who found out and offered the teen money to do what was done here.

All I hope is that this fellow is happy enjoying life somewhere on the planet and having a great time. I would agree that at least one posting should take place somewhere showing all of them before they again die in a computerized corner. If they are faked they fooled a fellow who was an expert at finding fakes.
