I'm supposed to be getting up in 45 minutes to get ready for work

Does anyone have any tips on changing sleep patterns? It seems that i can never sleep at the right time. I get off work at 1 pm and I'm so wore out by the time I get home that I cant stay awake. If I go to sleep, I usually wake up around 8-9 pm and I end up having to stay awake until its time to go to work. If I do manage to stay awake after work until an appropriate time to actually go to sleep, I find that I cant get to sleep! (tossing, turning, etc.)

It would really be great to go to sleep at 8-9 pm and sleep until its time to go to work. Any ideas?

Stay up two days in a row... a full 48 hours.

Also- control your exposure to bright light... try changing the timing of your exposure to bright light...

If you are getting bright sunlight in mid day at work, try darkening the room in which you work.

48 hours? my mind cant even comprehend that lol. I used to do that easy back in the day, but even at 18 im finding that im "too old" to do some things i used to lol.

still, i'll consider doing that as a last resort

I have used over-the-counter sleep aids, like Sominex, only a cheaper brand. But take them early enough for at least 6 hours of sleep, probably more.
