Humphrey Lyttelton passed away last week

I was rather hoping that someone posted this last week and I missed it - but it seems not. Still, I feel the need to celebrate him. He was such an amazing talent - I know he had a good innings (86) but I stil feel the world is a slightly sadder place without him. Listening to I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue with my parents was pretty much my first introduction to grown up comedy and I'm fairly certain it helped shape my sense of humour. Then later in life I discovered his music too.

Okay...

I never have followed the jazz music world so this came as a learning experience.

Humph sure did swing. Amazing how much he sounded like his idol, Louis Armstrong.
An ideal life ... fully engaged and having fun to the very end.
