As far as Jerry O' Connell being eight in the eighties. I didn't know. I didn't like him in "STAND BY ME" but goddamn somewhere between that movie and the SLIDERS TV show. I am smitten. Jerry O' Connell is a hot man now.

Yes, he looks good in uniform, which was about the best thing about that movie. An officer acquaintance of mine once sent me a nice present, the Japanese copy of the original sound track (Lalo Schifrin). When I want to see a bad record cover, I look at that.

Beside that, my 80s crushes were Robert Wagner, who also was on that movie, and later Don Johnson. Ah, times...

back in the day of purple rain, i used to make my str8 friends (they would play anything when they're young) pretend they were prince and i was apollonia and we would reenact certain scenes from the movie.
