go to BME or Tribalectic and do some research. This is not your everyday piercing and it should be taken very seriously. The recovery healing period can be up to 1 year. I happen to like genital piercings but would never get an amp.
The ampallang is a very strong looking piercing and you certainly deserve respect and admiration if you get it done. Expect intense pain for about 3-5 seconds while the piercing is done and occasional aching for the following 2-3 weeks. Be sure to get at least a 10g or maybe even 8g bar. Most guys react with "ouch" when they see an ampallang or apadravya, but once the piercing heals it is usually a source of pleasure.
