The poll is amusing at best. You cut off half the skin on your penis--and the most sensitive skin at that, and then your penis becomes more sensitive!!?? If you have persuaded yourself that this is true, it definitely shows how much of male sex is in the mind.

Can I answer with a woman's point of view?

Before I met and married my husband, I had sex with three different men in their early 30s. I was in my early 20s at the time. With each man I noticed the same curious sight, the heads of their penises looked dried out like they needed lotion. Being an American woman who had only ever seen cut American dick I had no idea that what I saw wasn't "normal".

It was only after getting pregnant with our first child (our son) that I realized that those men had all been missing part of their penis. Within a few months he had enough loose skin that he could grow to full erection without any more pulling and pain. After a few more months of restoration he was able to keep his head covered while soft. As his wife I can say that the difference between feeling his dick before he restored and now is night and day. Before he restored he felt (like all my past lovers) like a broomstick. (Seriously ). Now he feels very soft and smooth. Sex is many times better now that he has restored.

Anyways, I've never been the type to try to change someone's beliefs, because our belief system - much like our penis - is a huge part of us (pauses for laughter). I have no interest in changing anybody's mind about it, but I simply feel that there is way too much outdated ignorance still in circulation in the world, and people deserve to know the truth. What they do with this information and how it makes them feel is entirely up to them. When I was growing up, I remember feeling very bad about not being cut like everyone else; girls - as well as guys - would make fun of me, and tell me that i'm "gross" and require a surgery in order to look normal. These same people would be the type to get offended when I told them they need breast implants or a nose job in order to look better, but that's a different discussion. All I know, is that when I discovered the true reasons why people began to circumcise their sons, I lost all interest in ever having this done to me, and whenever the subject comes up I try to educate people on why I didn't "have it done so I can look normal."

To be fair, people are usually in disbelief when I tell them that it was supposed to prevent men from raping and jerking off in order to make them "closer to god and the church." Regardless of if they're strongly for, or against the procedure, people tell me "Well, I still masturbate every day," and that they simply CHOOSE not to rape people, and that it isn't because of "extra" skin anywhere on their body, or because a religion told them not to.
