You might like to try "footlight." They were originally located in the East Village in New York City. Not sure whether they're still open. They'd carry the most unusual vinyl, CD and later on, films. They have a web site, who knows, it's a start.

By the way, at one time or another, all of the Village people hung out at the Spike in NYC. Ah, the good old days. BTW, they were all hung....

I saw Skatetown U.S.A. at the theater, when it first came out.

My best friend & I saw Roller Boogie at a Drive-In in High School!!!!! Was a double feature, with Roadie (Meatloaf & Debbie Harry) as the opening movie. Don't know why he put up with me. He always wanted to go see movies like Brubaker & The Deer Hunter, but I dragged him off to see All That Jazz (which he fell asleep during). He was a straight, macho, wrestler-type... but I guess he indulged me because I always did his trig homework for him. Those were the days...

All of the Village people were well hung???

But were they all gay?

I heard that only one or two were actually gay.--Maybe the hard hat was the only gay one?

Anyone know for sure??

Considering how the group was formed originally what they managed to accomplish was amazing. Niether of the first two lead singers were gay, these were Victor Willis and Ray Simpson. Both Ray and Victor were professional musicians prior to "VP".. Randy Jones who had been a struggling Broadway actor/singer/dancer supposedly was, Felipe Rose who had worked as a "Go Go Boy Dancer" at a NY nightclub supposedly is, Glenn Hughes who was before his stint with the people a toll booth toll collector at the NY Brooklyn Battery Tunnel also supposedly was as was David Hodo who portrayed the Construciton Worker. David was a "hands model" his hands having appeared in print and video ads for power tools. That was what he did before "VP". Alex Briley was plucked as a voice major directly from Julliard Conservatory in New York. He was supposedly straight as well.

I was raised in Los Angeles, my stepfather was a Beverly Hills MD, and I am retiring from the Movie Industry and launched a props supply business from a degreed position as a musician. I had the unique experience of having known the late Alan Carr and having met the late Henri Belolo in my
lifetime.

The real story of how this group came about was a real hoot!

It was a total accident.

Hey FuzzyKen,
I got to meet Alan Carr about a month before he died. I was invited to (what turned out to be) his very last "Hollywood party". It was a night to remember. Were you there?
