I was having a conversation with this guy I work with who somehow dropped into the conversation that he was 6' tall..the guy is the EXACT same height as me if not a little shorter. It was so funny because after I told him I was 5'10" he actively avoided standing next to me all day..he would talk to me and back away as I walked towards him as if I was going to find out his secret...

so funny.

I'm 5'8", but I really wish that I was a least 6'0". At least for one day, to see what it would be like.

I guess men exaggerate about their height just like they exaggerate about cock size or anything else.
They do it because height is worshipped in this country. I met a guy from online who had said he was 5'10". When he came to the door I was almost taller than him and I was wearing drugstore flip-flops! Obviously he had lied. later he said are you sure you are 5'9" and actually pushed down on my head as I stood before him! If he hadn't been such a good lay I wouldn't have seen him again

By the way, I started poll a while ago asking for men's heights:

We're the same height.

Yeah, this guy I know is obsessed about heights and I can tell he envies me for my height. It's sad, really. He also lies about it because he claims he's 5'9 but you can tell that it's "with shoes on". I feel that most people don't register someone who is 5'9" as being short unless it's from the perspective of a taller woman or something. I am just happy with my height, which is over 6'. It has its advantages but I think people just blow it out of proportion due to complexes.

My only complaint about my height is I don't stand out enough in a sea of taller people. The worst is when two taller people are talking with one another, and they are usually standing in the way of where I need to get to. I can stand there, say excuse me, all that jazz, and they don't even notice me. I feel like a little kid next to them.

I'm 6'5 and it kills me when someone says, "oh, you're taller than that." Uh, not so much. It's just that you tell people you're 6'1 when you're 5'10 or your buddy who's 5'10 has you convinced that he's 6'1, so you really don't have a concept of height.

I've never encountered anyone who has lied about their height. It's lying about your age that drives me nuts.

I don;t get the point of lying about something that is visible. I'm 5'11". I'm ok with that, and if I'm not there's not much i can do about it.

SHUT IT, YOU!

Try being 5'4" like me, and THEN we'll talk!

At least, I hope I'm 5'4". The last official measurement was 5'3.5", but that was a couple of months ago! I've grown since then... right?

6'2-3/4" claim 6'4. That claim came originally from my playing days when anything below 6'3 caused coaches to want to shift my position on the field.

But what man on earth doesnt add an inch to all his measureables :P

I'm 6-5 tall barefoot and I sometimes claim 6-4 . Some very tall guys over 6-4 downgrade their height sometimes .

I'm 6' 5 1/2" tall, and weigh 205 lbs. I tell people I'm 6' 5 1/2" tall, and weigh 205 lbs. "my name is Forrest Gump and people call me Forrest Gump".

Same here. I'm inbetween 5'9" and 5'10". Although I could probably pass as 5'10" I think I'm closer to 5'9"

Is okay.
