I loved Cane River but Red River sounded boring to me. So I can wait to hear from you. I was most recently reading THe Mists of Avalon . This is a feminist retelling of the Arthurian legend.

I'm reading A Confederacy of Dunces. This, this is a funny book. I'm shocked by how long it's taken me to get around to it.

Last Lecture by Randy Pausch....finished it a couple of weeks ago...very good....started another similar book last week, but I forget the title

My 11 year old son is reading Salvation on Sand Mountain by Dennis Covington....book about snake handling churches in the south...very good book...illustrates how even the most educated can get swept into some crazy mess....

How did you like Randy's book? I grew up with him. He is definitely a credit to his parents. His book is definitely a reflection of his metamorphosis. He was a jerk when we were kids! LOL!

I am reading "Sun Tzu's Art of War" at the moment. Very good book, espcially for business people.

"Sons of the Conquerers" by Huge Pope. Actually it's a re-read. It's a collection essays about Türkic republics and peoples, their cultures, recent histories and roles in geopolitics. It's good, but I'm just using it to put me to sleep at night. I have a bad habit of needing to read until my eyes are tired. Otherwise it takes me a long time to fall asleep.

I am reading ''Karma et coups de foudre'' (in French) by Canadian (and Acadian) author and psychologist Claude Lebouthillier. It's the story about an Acadian man who has been in many unfulfilling relationships and has yet to find the love of his life; he is heart-broken. He believes that all of his relationships are cursed and that this curse started with the untimely death of his great-great-grandparents. He is resolved to rehabilitate himself and the memory of his infamous ancestors.
