50% gay, 50% straight?

As I kinda said... I am claiming that EVERY man is wired bisexual from the beginning.

Its simply a matter of experience that either awakens you to that fact... or suppresses it.

I think all male children go thru a period of sexual plasticity in which they are kinda turned on by anything even remotely sexual.

depending upon what happens to you in this period, you can turn out as the kind of man who thinks jerking off with your buddies is not that strange... or the kind of man who is not all that averse to screwing a sheep when its been awhile...

Its pretty clear that homophobes are men who, during this period of plasticity, were horribly shamed by some authority figure for their curiosity...
So they grow up to hate and deny these feelings... even seeking out those that induce these hated feelings and 'punishing them' for creating this conflict...



While I think we tend to be wired with a some form of preference... that is, some men will have far more interest in the opposite sex and some far more in the same sex... but most will be some point in the middle...

and just where they end up will have a lot to do with their experiences.

I think its possible for a guy who really prefers women to learn to enjoy sex with men.

It doesn't change his preference... he's simply figured out that sex feels good no matter what.

While I have been a member of this site for a very short time, I have wondered the entire time when this question would be asked. I'm 70% gay / 30% straight. 70% gay is probably because I'm in the closet except for my closest friend and a couple of others that know the truth (that I play for both teams). I, too, was 'trained' that I would marry a girl, settle down, have kids, etc. I've done that. But, during my adulthood, I can't suppress my feelings for men...wish I could but can't. Not being able to have what I want may be the reason my yearning for men is 70% while my steady/hetero side of 30% is taken care of via my wife. Love her to death and wouldn't trade her for anything but I simply cannot suppress my feelings.

Currently I am on heavy-duty pain medicine due to a kidney infection (and stones) -- so -- currently I have no desire for either one.

Some argue that very few people are actually 100% gay or 100% straight and the rest deal with a fluid sexuality that hovers about at different levels based on different factors. Ho hum.

By preference I choose to have relationships with females but I also enjoy sex with another guy (or 2 ) I could never see me having a relationship with a guy, damn good shag yes, so that is why I say 80% straight and 20% gay but really its near 90% straight and 10% gay

I think Kinsey was right on the money, but our culture is too homophobic to accept the findings of his research. Sexual preference does indeed exist on a continuum.

I define myself the way I do because I have never been in love with a man. Oddly, without the emotional piece I am more turned on physically by men than by women. For example, looking at strangers such as in photos or on a website like this, I get turned on looking at some men naked, but seldom if ever turned on by looking at women.

I'd like to meet a bisexual man who turned me on but understood I could likely only offer him sex and friendship.

I am bisexual but the reason I posted that I was 10% gay and 90% str8 is because of the chance that if both a guy and girl is in the room and I can only select one, I will pic the girl 9 out of 10 times and the guy only 1 in 10. If there are all guys and they're all gay, you gay guys lucked out and one of you WILL be picked if u r uncut.

i think to use percentages in discribing Hormons is a bit oversimplistic.
