Another Gym Shower Question...

Exactly--Just what I thought too!!!

I personally think that there are numerous reasons on the shower issues. In spite of the desire of most for eye-candy local law enforcement agencies on newer gyms and local building codes sometimes specify that showers must be individual and with privacy. Any man who has been in the military or any male who has gone through Jr High or HS sports used communal showers and none of these individuals died from the experience.

I can tell you that one of the problems I had in a California World Gym was that the staff never cleaned the damn place as they should have and it was an "athlete's foot" factory that had actually entered the evolutionary stages where the fungus had possibly entered the space race.

Personally if the air temperatures are well regulated and the place is not really "drafty" I prefer communal to individual simply because of the space involved.

My shower at the YMCA is open. I do not mind who sees but yes I look. I think men should be very natural about being naked, it sure takes down all pretenses

I belong to a gay gym with showers divided by short glass walls. There's plenty of room to show, and be shown. I agree with the question of modesty. There's too much of it, even in a gay gym. I had one guy walk back and forth to look at me in the shower 3 times, and when he went to change, he did the underwear under the towel trick. I feel that if you're going to look, you should show.

Well said and honestly what is the difference between being in your undies & naked, especially if they are wet, just take 'em off already n get clean n comfortable everyone can already see clearly the outline of what you got (for evidence of my point click here: YouTube - les doush), and if it's all just your fellow guys what's the big deal.

I LOVE showing it at the local gym or yoga studios. And I always appreciate a good show, though I'm careful not to embarass guys by goggling their hot bits. LOL. I do try for a bit of decorum, even for a slut, thank you very much.

That video shows everything that is messed up with young guys nowadays. Guys showering with their underwear on around other guys? That's just wierd.

If their eyes work, then their eyes work, no big deal, it's natural to see what's ever there to be seen. Anyone who claims they don't 'see' what others have when it's out r usually in denial, eyes like to see, it's what they are for, lol.

I don't care. I have something to look at and I show it so watch if you wish to. I was really curious when I was 14 and wondered if all boys had the same changes down there the same way as I did...and I discovered that some didn't and that I was bigger at 14 than a lot of older guys.

At my gym we have communal showers, they are not separate. It is just a big room with showers round the edge. If we had separate stalls then i would leave the door open definately! We are all human and have all seen a dick before so why bother hiding away?!

Agree - we know we are going to be looked at by the younger set - even if it is to gasp when you see some of the guys who haven't kept up at being fit. Think of it as a reminder, when you see some old gut who is not too trim, with a large belly, that you guys might become the same way if you don't take care of yourself, eat right, and stay fit.

Of course, you have to accept that some of the older guys will look at you, too.

I have no problem showering at the gym naked. Really I haven't seen any one ever showering with clothes/underwear. The local YMCA has open showers with 3 shower heads. There is a new gym in town and as part of their promo the mention there are private showers. I guess its a big deal for some people which I don't seem to understand.

Have seen a couple of young guys going in the steamroom, whirlpool and showers with swim suits on. All the guys there, including me, close the stall door, which is a partial seethrough glass door. The stalls are small and I shut it so I don't spray all over whoever is outside the stall, not because I am being overly modest.
