Can str8 men get bj's from men?

It's all semantics. Different people have different definitions of gay/straight/bi. It can get confusing but luckily it doesn't really matter.

is part of a discussion in the Relationships, Discrimination, and Jealousy forum that includes topics on Friends, family, co-workers, significant others....

Sure you can, but then you're not strictly straight. I think men are awesome and have the utmost respect for gays and what they go through, but I couldn't ever envision myself getting head from one - I love women too much and am always thinking about them.

I'd say that if you're feeling the urge, go for it, and don't worry about being referred to as either gay or straight - it's okay to be gay and in addition, there are so many people out there who like both genders to some degree, so you're more normal than you think. I mean, just look at the percentages all over this site.

Labels are not important. I think we are all potentially bisexual in that if we weren't worried about labels it would be possible to enjoy oral sex (getting or giving) with another male. I haven't actually tested (or tasted!)that theory, but am "man enough" to acknowledge that the idea of it is very interesting to me and arousing too, as is looking at all of the fine examples of manhood on display on this site, regardless of what % straight/gay the owner says he is.

But if you're looking right at him and showing affection for it then you are bisexual. Just deal with it and accept it. Being in denial and blurring the lines of what is bisexual, what is straight, what is gay doesn't work. Because no straight man would allow a man to slob him down.
I would agree here. However, I think, like the Kinsey scale states, it's not as cut and dried as people make it seem. I think there are various levels within the sexual spectrum that make you who you are. For example, is a guy who does something with another guy once, just out of curiousity, but never again does anything sexual with a man, is he bisexual still? Or did he have a homosexual experience out of curiousity but now is totally straight? There just isn't a clear way to define it.

Bottom line is we are sexual creatures with the capacity to enjoy sex with whomever we choose. Whatever that makes us, labels wise, is what we are.

It just occurred to me that this whole label thing doesn't really make sense in this case. To consider it from another angle, try to answer this question:

Can a punk rocker like a country & western song?
If so, is he still considered 100% punk if he likes this one song? or if he heard it and liked it just the one time?

The answer is, of course he's still 100% punk, but the greater answer is: musical preference does not define you absolutely. By the same token, I don't think the things we wind up doing sexually necessarily define our orientation. Just because I've kissed/made out with guys during spin-the-bottle or truth-or-dare and whacked off a few times watching porn with my roommate, doesn't mean I want to pirsue a romantic relationship with a man.

In situations like the subject of this thread, I think it would be wiser to evaluate someone based not on what they do, (or have done once), and look more at how they feel, and what they want.

Does that make sense?

Not really.

If you suck my cock (or I yours), just once, don't you dare think you can call yourself "99% Straight 1% Gay" ever again.

Step out of the closet, fer gawdsakes.

Be sexual, not "Anytagyouwannalabelmewith - exual"

Be yourself.

I am not sure how few we are.

This kind of question puzzles me.

Answer is NO.

Of course, there will be those who will talk like "Yes, because labels are too confining and stuff" Well, guess what Sherlock, pseudo-intelectualism can't help here.

1) You suck dick and/or you get sucked (by men): you're not straight.
2) If you don't like labels, then you can do whatever you want and not care. But you asked for a label (straight), and such won't allow any space for dick sucking.

Myself, I don't care much... be happy, walk free, but please, please don't say straight and male blow job in the same context ;P

Notice it's the straight guys who are saying a definite no. And really they're the authorities on what defines straightness, girls and gays are kinda on the outside looking in on that. I guess I have to agree. It's like people who say "I'm Christian but I don't believe [something in the Bible they don't like]". You can't claim the title and then make your own rules. Either agree to the established rules or admit that you don't completely fit into that category.

I did roofing work for one day. Does that mean for the rest of my life I have to consider myself at least 30% roofer?

My closet is too small to stand in. All my clothes are on the floor

No, but you also can never again say you have 0% roofing experience.
