I hear this so often I'll say it's normal. But what I REALLY think is that a lot of guys have complicated turn ons, and having your dick admired is one of them. This means it's normal for you, but not "straight" guys, simply by defenition. I personally hate the terms and don't believe in a natural 100% on either side of the line.

It is absolutely normal and fine! I am a straight female and we look at each other and even admire other women's beauty or compliment women's bodies all the time and there is nothing sexual or lesbian about it at all. (Except for the actual lesbians, of course!)

Only GUYS, straight and gay, have a problem with looking at each other. Straight guys are afraid and insecure about appearing gay, and they often use accusations of homosexuality to belittle other men who make them feel threatened or inadequate. Gay guys are bitter about homophobia and so they want to portray all straight guys as gay like themselves. It only becomes an issue (or "gay thing") if people make it so. Otherwise, it is completely innocent and normal!

Also, there is a cultural element to it too. American and British English males are SO PARANOID and obsessively sensitive about appearing gay! I've lived in several different countries on three continents, and it seems like U.S. and U.K. societies make the biggest deal about homosexuality. (But they are not necessarily the most homophobic. Many places are much more homophobic but there is not as much of a "witch hunt" to label people as gay. There is a big difference between "suspicion of homosexuality" and "hatred of homosexuals"!) In many other cultures, including some of the most homophobic societies, it is perfectly alright and proper for straight guys to hold hands or even kiss as merely a sign of brotherly friendship. But not in Anglo or Germanic societies!

By the way, before anyone starts hurling false accusations: this is NOT meant to bash anybody such as males, gays or straights, U.S./U.K., etc.! I am just answering the question of this thread.
