Even though my emotional leanings go toward anarchy I'm more of a socialist in practice and thought. Then again, I do see the merits of a modified capitalistic economy. That would be capitalism modified by gentle wealth redistribution that does reward excellence and innovation while allowing "the little guy" to get in and shake up the competition. Add to that a system of effective and temporary social welfare nets. I don't believe keeping someone on government assistance for life is the best thing and I think our current system doesn't do enough to help people out of the hole (I work with it every day.)

no, not mold into a social conservative

develop character by developing critical thinking (rather than indoctrinating with political correctness, and ready-made answers)

develop character by instilling true, objective solid values, the stuff that created Western civilization (not the nihilism of multi-culturalism, that all values are equally worth having, hence, none have any true meaning or legitimacy)

so the end result would be a man who can stand on his own two feet, stand for what he has determined to be the truth, thru the power of his heart, soul, and mind wrestling with reality

not because of what is written in a little red book, but because the truth he is facing demands a blazing liberal, or a steadfast conservative
