Is it really that Uncommon/Special to have a Large Penis?

I am wondering is it really that uncommon to find a large penis, and is it that special for your partner to find someone with a large penis. Maybe it is just me but I always grew up thinking big penis' were very uncommon and it was soo special to have one. But, the more I learn students and co-workers and friends alike, many of them do have large penis'. So is it really that special if you are ( 1 in every 20 men) with a large penis. That may be a very unrealistic ratio but it is what it seems to me.

all depends on someones opinion of large... and it depends weather you are lookin on the internet or the REAL WORLD... most guys with small or average dicks arnt running around showing them off to everyone every chnace they get, like on the internet...the average guy with a 4.5-5" dick isnt gona post pics of his dick all over the place... obviously... thats why people get it twisted about what is normal i think... from my experience with lots of different girls, they all say 7-8 inches is a BIG dick and about the biggest they have ever had, the internet is a place for fantasy, thats why you have so many idiots in the "what was ur biggest dick:" type threads claiming they have been with 11 x8 inch dicks... which are really one in a million, if not less,. from whqat i understand from talking to gf's and ex gf's who like to talk about dicks, most guys have a 5 inch cock, period, and 6 inches (real inches) in girth is huge, im only a tad over 6 inches in girth and every girl ive been with says how its thick as hell and tells their friends... so do the math,, people running around talking about 11 inch long dicks and 8 inches thick are kidding themselves or a freak of nature

Yeah, I agree when it was said that it depends on what you call big. If you figure a "luxury" car is a maxima, then you'll see a dime a dozen. It's all from perspective. Which kind of sucks. Like on here........ average is exactly between 7-8. It's like going from being great college and becoming average in the NBA. It's like seeing EVERYONE who can do great things. Takes away the greatness you once had............

On that note I'm going to take my mediocre 7.5 and say I'm average from now on.

I'd bet large cocks (bigger than 7 inches long or more than 6 inches around) are rare. If the average is 5.5 to 6 inches, just consider that there are more 4 inchers than 8 inchers, and more 3 inchers than 9 inchers.

Remember, most cocks are below average! Therefore the ones well above average are rare.

I agree with Uncut. I have seen numerous guys at the gym and would say abt 98 percent of them have an average penis (3.5 - 4.5 flaccid). I have yet to see a 8 inch flaccid penis--wonder what it looks like??

I can recall 2 guys at the gym who might be close to 5 or 5.5 flaccid; nothing larger.

Well, I'm guessing that if a particular cock size is not average, then it's uncommon.That's not technically possible. Most are average, not below average.

i suppose i've come to think of them not being that rare, seeing as out of the men i've slept with (not exactly tons) two were 8"+ and one was maybe 7" but very thick. maybe i just got lucky, who knows?

Nope. Most penises are below average. Seems counterintuitive, but actually true. This already got mentioned recently in a separate thread.

From the Wikipedia entry on penises. "The average penis size is slightly larger than the median size (or, put another way, most penises are below average in size)." The median is the point where half of the penises are larger, and half are smaller. A small number of well-endowed men raise the average to more than compensate for the greater number of modestly-endowed men.

Anybody who thinks half of penises are below average is confusing average with median.

Also, most penises are not at average length. Only a small percentage are average, but most are within an inch of average.

Ive only ever met one person bigger than me, and he was 6 inches taller and had 150 lbs on me i think. Most of the time it seems like everybody else's is barely more than a head poking out of a thicket.

Average is a range, and most penises are neither above or below average, most are in the average range. That's why it's called average. Over time, the average may shift, but it's still average. People often manipulate statistics to make their point, though.
