You correctly spotted a trend NJQT, but even in the fashion space, lanky guys still share the limelight with other types of men, which is good in my opinion.
If models (males and females) reflected the looks of the general population, they would be closer to 200 lbs. indeed.
I find it in fact refreshing that the pendulum is finally
swinging away from the proto-human steroids-inflated gorilla of the Rambo era. I like men, not male primates.
I understand your point about weight and strength, but
some of the stronger guys I see at the gym are (mostly young) tall lean guys with a lot of willpower and energy. Conversely, I can't help smiling when I see a bulky (fat & water) man not even able to do shoulder raises with the 20s and keep his arms straight.
