You correctly spotted a trend NJQT, but even in the fashion space, lanky guys still share the limelight with other types of men, which is good in my opinion.

If models (males and females) reflected the looks of the general population, they would be closer to 200 lbs. indeed.

I find it in fact refreshing that the pendulum is finally swinging away from the proto-human steroids-inflated gorilla of the Rambo era. I like men, not male primates.

I understand your point about weight and strength, but some of the stronger guys I see at the gym are (mostly young) tall lean guys with a lot of willpower and energy. Conversely, I can't help smiling when I see a bulky (fat & water) man not even able to do shoulder raises with the 20s and keep his arms straight.

I disagree, I don't find skinny men disgusting. As I mentioned previously I find many of the skinny men here to be very attractive, smart, and interesting. I just wish I couldn't see their ribcage.

Well, I think skinny can look okay as long as it has some balance...For example,
I'm a pretty skinny guy myself (i blame my young age, high metabolism, and being oversexed)...but I make up for it with a broad chest and shoulders. These fasion twigs....male or female look disgusting because they bride themselves in going over the top and getting rid of ALL body fat with pills and throwing up....its gross.

NJ, I am 5'10" and 135lbs, and I eat like a fucking horse. No matter what I do, I can never gain weight. I guess I should be thankful for that. But I really do hate it. I have wide hips, so I am a 30 waist, not 28.

At least I don't try to highlight it by wearing skinny ass, pencil leg jeans.

Full of muscle and I'm not complaining.

I don't like women who are scared of men.

Men come in all shapes and sizes DW, being skinny is just as manly as being stockier - however you're not a real man unless you suffer from flatulence :)

I use to be skinny and couldn't turn chicks' heads worth a crap. After I put on weight in all the right places (I'm about 20 pounds overweight) I turn heads all the time. Plus PEing has helped me create a bulge. So yes, I think most women do prefer guys with meat on their bones, and preferably in the arms, butt, and chest. I do occasionally see a snub from some chicks who are skinny, so I think some skinny chicks are into skinny guys as those chicks think a guy 20 lbs overweight is a lard no matter how it's placed. If I may be so blunt, it's only from some skinny white chicks that I've ever seen this negative reaction.

I didn't say that.

I don't want to be discriminated against for being the way I am.

And yes, if you can fart louder than me, then you'd better marry me.

Though the pets would leave.

It takes all kinds.

As long as you are healthy...some guys just can't bulk up, others have no problem. Seems to me skinny guys were "in" in the 1970s with David Cassidy and Leif Garrett too.

Skinny men have always been "in" in the fashion world. When wasn't the fashion world about skinny models in designer clothing?

That is not the case in the world of pornography, where the "preferred" body size of models/actors and actresses is variable over time. Also, if one's preferred body type is not in accordance with the mainstream sex industry, one can always turn towards subculture niche (chubby chasers, hairy men, small-chested women, etc)

Of course, there is a difference between being Skinny and being Trim. I think those swimmer bodies can be quite attractive, but people need to have some sort of muscle definition.

Ironic isn't it? Skinny models, all this talk about dieting, and everyone being obsessed with thin people, yet the world's population gets fatter and fatter! Makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
