Petition to readmit chicagosam

I made a mistake. When I was a moderator I participated in the banning of chicagosam. If I recall correctly, I abstained from the vote, but I remember having misgivings at the time and am still not satisfied with the ban. I'd like to see him readmitted. I'm doing this with the knowledge that the moderators are in no way compelled to act, but I'm interested in seeing who would like to see this very entertaining poster reinstated to LPSG.

MEMEMEMEMEME! I love ChicagoSam, and miss him dearly. I'm not entirely sure he WANTS to come back, though.

I'm against bannings in general so why not.

Yeah, I agree. He told me that he was happy with your decision to ban. I wouldn't want to come back to a place that banned me either.

I don't believe there aren't any terms for readmission of membership status after a ban anyway.

Never heard of him. Why did he get banned?

I dealt with him at the other site. He was very nice guy and very kind and caring.

Does he want to come back?

I wouldn't mind seeing Sam back here and I miss Spladle but readmitting him runs the risk of setting a dangerous precedent for two other members that should never, ever be let back in. Even though they both still lurk.

When all that stuff was going down, I had heard from him until a week later via email. He told me that he was happy with the moderators' decision and is happy in general. He didn't want people raising a fuss over the ban because he said that he was happy with the decision.

If ChicagoSam wants to be readmitted into LPSG membership, he should be the one writing and trying to do so. He should be the one wanting to be back.

I agree. Spladle was always nice to me. But he didn't have that effect on everyone and I respect people's feelings regarding Spladle.

If I were banned from a cool place like LPSG, I don't think that I would want to come back because of being banned. I would be pissed off for one.

Since some of the rules for banning appear to be arbitrary, I don't see why letting them back in is a problem.

If all are let back in I don't see a problem, with the exception of continued malicious trolling.

Maybe a ban should be a one year ban. After that a permanent ban. Second time's the charm.

Now, if some odd fish comes back after they have been banned, and gets caught in the net again, they should stay out.

A real nice guy. He also violated the T.O.S. So even before we talk of bringing someone back shouldnt you try change the T.O.S ? I think the T.O.S. is fine the way it is. I would love to have Sam back. Its all the other members he was i cant deal with. NO.
