Your TV Habits

How much tv do you watch, what do you watch, do you always have the tv on? Waffle on as much as you want

Personally I don't watch much tv, probably averaging less than an hour a week, if I know a film is coming on that I like I'll watch that, or if there's a documentary that interests me, but watching it as a matter of course I find boring. My friend informs me of what's coming on, she knows my taste so she's usually pretty reliable in alerting me to what I'll want to catch - but she does insist on telling me about Eastenders which is a program I loathe.

I can't say I really watch it. Usually it's more background noise; something to keep me company. I usually have it on TCM or History, Science, BBC, etc. channels. Thinking about this the other day I literally have not watched any network TV shows in over ten years including news unless the news is big and local (like 9/11). I'm completely clueless as to what's on prime time TV. Never seen Lost, 24, not even Friends. It's a bit amazing to me.

I will watch good movies, good TV, and current event shows and pay attention to them.

I saw Lost but I saw it on DVD, I never make any attempt to watch shows which are of a serial nature on tv because I know I'll never manage to watch them every week.

I watch the news a few times a day. Not the entire newscast, but just a few minutes here and there to catch up what's going on locally and worldwide. A few shows I watch are: Brothers and Sisters, Without a Trace, and Grey's Anatomy. The Discovery Channel, History Channel, Animal Planet, and The Learning Channel have a lot of interesting programs. I like documentaries, movies, and sometimes I rent DVD's. Some weeks I watch a lot of tv, and other weeks hardly any. I like the boob tube.

It's this series where they keep having little mysterious happenings but they never explain why they happened. Lost is what you get if you watch it.

I didn't bother with the second series when the first series ended with every question unanswered. I have watched all of Buffy though - about 17 times :) and why do vampires become masters of the martial arts when they die?

At least one of my TVs is on starting around 6 am and off sometime after 10 or 10:30 pm. Many times I'll be in another room watching something I like while my SO watches his shows. We both agree usually on programs on HGTV, "Ghost Hunters" on the Sci-fi channel and reruns of "Golden Girls" and "Beverly Hillbillies." HE likes sitcoms (I can't stand canned laughter!) so I go to my den and find something I like - old musicals, movies and wrestling. Yes...I know...what a combination!

BTW, Italian1 - your avatar is cute and your cock photos are nice.

I moved in with Artfulwilly in late May 2007. Since we've lived together, we've literally watched TV four times and three of those were to watch a movie that was on TV.

We do subscribe to Zip.ca (a Canadian internet DVD rental Netflix wanna-be company that we actually don't recommend...it's really hard to get the movies you want when you want them because their inventory is too small).

Anyway, we watch movies sometimes, but never TV.

Now that I think about it, it makes sense...how else would I have all this time to post and blog? Something had to go, and it wasn't sex, reading, or quality time with my beloved. TV lost out, and I don't regret it (I wasn't much of a TV watcher in the first place).

I prefer to spend the time I'd otherwise be watching tv messing around on the net.

No TV in my house. At least, none that is connected to anything other than a VCR/DVD player. TV just does not appeal to me.
