Do you live in Nevada?

I don't live in Nevada, I live about 15 miles from the California/Nevada border, North of Reno, Nevada. Reno happens to be the closest large metropolitan area.

I was out in Vegas in the 90's. I had a few too many at the Jackie Dong Plaza. Dont know if its still there.

I have no idea. I lived in Vegas until I was three and then my family moved to Oklahoma because my dad left the Air Force (he was stationed at Nellis). We came back and visited a few times (my mom has an aunt who lives there, and her cousin and her family lived there until about a year ago), but the last time I was in Vegas was before my parents divorced (which was in 1999).

I lived out west for a couple of years. Pheonix was great. Will go back there one day for good. Im thinking Yuma or Death Valley. I love the heat.

hmm... I live in Romania, thats thousands of miles away from anybody here. But i wish I lived somewhere else... Las Vegas would be fine, thank you...

uncut, why do you want to live in death valley or phoenix?! it's hotter than hell there. ugh, and add global warming to the mix, too... argh, just thinking about it is already making my temperature rise.

Well I live on the other side of Nevada on the Utah border which is about 2 hours away from Vegas...but I do know where Yerrington is. It's quite a small town.

lol. Yeah, it's nice, unless you're trying to get over to California via I-80 West out of Reno.... usually in the winter it's so snowy there that they have either chain requirements or the road is just completely closed. If you don't like snow, I suggest not moving to Reno. I remember it snowed once there last June (but just barely and I think that was a freak occurance). Most of Nevada, with the exception of Reno/Sparks, Carson City, and Las Vegas is just a bunch of nothing... so if you're driving through I do suggest you take some water and buy gas when you can... just in case you get caught driving and there are no towns for a good number of miles. Also, I suggest not moving to Fernley, as Truckee River canal leveys tend like to break there. :p

Where I live it gets cold, but we don't get nearly half as much snow as Reno (thank God). I want to move a little farther south, so that I can have some warmer weather, but I am not sure I want to move to Vegas... but, between here and Vegas there isn't much... except maybe Tonopah, but I am not even sure they have a Walmart there, which, in my mind means that it's a pretty small town!

If you ever do plan to visit Nevada, I suggest you try to go to both Las Vegas and Reno, so you can get a feel for both as they are vastly different from one another in climate and appearance. However, it is probably about an 8-10 hour (I'm just guessing here) drive from Vegas to Reno, so make sure you have the time planned out in your trip to make the drive (unless you are flying, but then you don't get to drive through the wonderful town of Yerington...).

When you stop in Yerington, you must go to Joe Dini's Lucky Club Casino. They have the BEST chicken strips on Earth... :)

Its beautiful out there. First thing i noticed was the fresh air and the big sky. I am a warm weather person.
