Actually i do have a story about placenta. When i used to work in the labor and delivery floor at the hospital i was assisting with a birth when the doctor cut the umbilical cord and it had all this pressure built up inside of it from clamping it....when doc cut it blood squirted out all over the place and got the docs face and glasses....my face and the ceiling. He was very cool about it and i on the other hand being the germ phobe freaked out and ran to the bathroom. I think i'd be cooler about it now. I was just a kid.

When we were bored at work we'd sometimes look up gross things on the net to freak the guys out, placenta recipes was one of the more successful ones, some of the would turn green, surprisingly the very quiet anal retentive guy was the one who'd join in the fun.

I once saw a documentary with Hugh Fearnley whatsisname in where this woman had a placenta party - she invited all her friends round after the birth of her child and they had placenta pate and other placenta based foods - the dirty bastards.

I wanted to use mine as fertilizer to plant a tree in my daughters name....i think i was too tired from all the labor to remember to ask for it! My mom did keep our daughter's umbilical cord keeping in tradition of the Native Americans. Its probably petrified now.

Unfortunately my dr.'s have told me that a hysterectomy is in my near future. And I am very much in denial about it. I have something called fibroid tumors and they are pretty severe. I have every kind of fibroid tumor there are and my uterus is full. My uterus is even enlarged like I am pregnant. I have tried fibroid embolization and it was successful to a certain point...... for a while.....but I am starting to have heavy long periods again. I don't want to have a hysterectomy but the dr.'s say things are only going to get worse. And being a nudist there is nothing worse than being on the rag 24 / 7. I have been stalling for time and I talked the dr. into letting me be on the pill. The pill regulates me and keeps me from having my period all the time.

What the dr.'s have told me is that they can leave my ovaries and I don't have to go on any hormone treatment.

I like my sex drive and everything just the way it is right now. That is why it is a hard scary decision. I have heard so much about ladies losing interest in sex after a hysterectomy.

But I do have one person to look up to......my mother. She had a hysterectomy when she was 29 years old after her second child. And she has told me that it didn't change her sex drive.

My mother is encouraging me to go ahead and have the hysterectomy so she can help me. (with kids etc....) She thinks I will feel a lot better. What she is concerned about......is that if I was to ever develop cancer in the uterus......there is no way we would know about it until it is too late. You can't see anything in there because of all the fibroids growing in there. I guess it is something to think about.

I don't plan on having any more kids.

I will be sure to ask my dr. the question about whether a woman who has had a hysterectomy can accomodate more cock. Ha Ha

My mom had undiagnosed fibroids and endometriosis when they did her hysterectomy. My mother in law also had large fibroids. Both agree they feel a helluva lot better without the problems associated with them. The pill is such a wonderful invention. It's staved off my periods for 4 years now.

Have you looked into the mirena coil Kad, I don't know if it would work in your case or even if it's been mentioned as a possibility but I do know here that it's used in cases of heavy bleeding for various reasons.

My wife had a hist several years ago.
It was good because it freed us to have lots of sex without worrying about more pregnancies. After the hist, she has had to be on mild hormones. and once in a while we use KY jelly to keep things juicy.
The answer to the original question: There is lots of room inside because the vagina is streachable tissue. Just remember women are made to make room for a baby,,, and can streach to birth a baby. In fact the absence of the uterus just gives more space in the abdominal cavity.
I think half the women I know, after 50 have had a histerectomy.... (so my wife says.)

OK, this is a great topic. Here are the facts. there are 3 types of hysterctomy's. 1. the uterus is removed. 2. the uterus and cervix is removed. 3. the uterus, cervix, and ovaries are removed. They are doen2 different ways vaginally ( no external incision) or through external incision.

Now the good stuff. It does not give a girl more room to take a larger penis. However, sex is better for the woman because she is more sensitive after the surgery. I am speaking from experience. I still have my ovaries, but cervix and uterus are gone (to prevent cancer) Sex seems better because sensitivity is increased, but no more room then before surgery, a little tighter maybe, but no more room length wise.
