Is it really that unusual if I prefer shy nice girls over promiscuous ones??

It seems that in America today it is hard to find a generally nice shy girl. Guys today seem to only go for girls that are really open and wild, and I am not into that type of girl at all, as a matter of fact I think that is a turn-off (sorry if i offend any people on here, it is just my preference lol). Maybe it is because I am shy too (and sexually inexperienced at that) that I think this way, I am also quite conservative (pretty shocking on this site, but we are all different and individuals).

One reason i like these types of girls is the "mystery" factor that surrounds them (if that makes any sense) and they are like unexplored territory to some extent. The common westernized girl today will pretty much go for anything without even blushing and there really is no mystery or subtlety about that.

I think i would have better chance to find what I am looking for in Korea (where i will be studying in a couple of months), where that type of girl is more common according to what i gathered. i also have been friends with a korean girl i talk to online for over a year and i think she is the perfect type for me (and yes, she is sexually inexperienced too). American girls really aren't doing it for me i think lol. I know i am just generalizing here, but generalities exist for a reason, and that reason is that they are common occurences. Anyway, it seems "shy" girls dont exist anymore here in the u.s....

You're not alone ... just about all of my straight buddies will date & sexually use the less-than-demure girls, and replace them as easily as they change shirts, but when it comes to a serious relationship, still look for the kind of girl you describe ...

There is nothing wrong in looking for someone who is reserved and a little mysterious. the problem is they are shy and you are not going to find them in a forum like this.
A small foot note I know a lot of wild girls love trying to get a nice shy guy like you for the same reason your a mystery.

Then there are the women like me - shy and all innocent on the surface but with another side to me that very few people see.

Girls in Korea aren't that much different than girls in the US. There are shy girls both places. There are sexually inexperienced girls both places. There are also plenty of guys who don't go for "crazy" or "wild" girls. I find your generalizations lack merit.

Especially the one in the title of this thread. Are promiscuous girls not "nice"?

I'm with you on that, I feel the same way being inexperienced myself.

Ideal would be a nice, shy girl. But be just as horny as me.

UpwardCurve, what you seek is in short supply due to the numerous technological and media advances made in the last 35 years or so. Since the USA is not the only country with television and computers you may be shit outta luck.

There are however three options available to you. 1) Girls who have been home schooled. Quite often the parents who do this are conservative christians. 2) Mormon girls, though a good Mormon girl probably isn't going to date out of her faith. 3) Amish girls. What you need upwardcurve is a young lady who during rumspringa has decided not to go back to her Amish community. That doesn't make her promiscuous or wild and she most likely holds true many of the values, ethics, and morals which you do.

I can only guess that one set of personality & behavioral traits does not mesh with the role they are expecting of the girl they choose to be the mother of their children.

I wouldn't celebrate the emergence of this personality type of the woman just yet -- it seems to correlate with, as symptom, and causal factor with a lot of problems.

But, then again, it's a guess, since I don't involve myself with them

I prefer girls who have interests, values and desires and desires that are similar to mine.

And ones that are hawt.

By the way, shy girls can be promiscuous. You just have to ask them.

Unless solely for sex I do not know of any person who chases people based on their lack of reserve.

Same with girls; unless solely interested in less than commitment and emotional attachment I don't remember them chasing people solely based on status, power, etc.
