locker room advice!!

I've never gotten a hard-on in the gym showers or in the locker room. But, I've always worried it might happen. I remember when I was a freshman in high school, I saw two guys (at different times) with full hard-ons in the locker room. Some guys were teasing them and some were chasing them around snapping a towel at their asses.

I have to admit that I definitely enjoyed seeing those hard dicks.

I've been doing it for 20 years now, so I really don't give it much thought. It just seems unmanly and feminine to me for guys to cover up around their own gender in a locker room or shower. I just shake my head and laugh at the younger generation with their bizzare attitudes about nudity. Every guy has the same equipment, so I just cannot understand this crazy over modesty that has taken root. Personally, I would feel absolutely ridiculous hiding in a shower stall, wearing clothes in a shower or doing "the towel dance" to get changed in the locker room. I saw 3 buds doing that in the locker room the other day. They were obviously good friends with each other and they all put on their boxers under their towels. WTF? Guys afraid to be naked around their friends now? The other week I saw a guy showering in his shorts AND A SHIRT!!!! Too freakin' wierd. I have just started working out at a new gym in my town that has a communal shower with 6 shower heads (there is also a double stall with 2 shower heads and a curtain for the sissys). Every time I've showered there, I'm the only one that uses the shower (communal and stall)! I guess there are guys that won't use the stall because there are 2 shower heads in there and someone might see them naked (God forbid - society would fall into ruin if that happened don't you know ). I actually saw one young guy go into the steam room in his boxers and then come out and get into his clothes without showering. GROSS! Today at the pool a guy wrapped himself in a towel, threw it over the shower curtain railing once the curtain was closed (wouldn't use the hook outside the stall) and came out after his shower changed into his clothes. I just don't get how the men's locker room and shower has become so sexualized nowadays. The old fashioned way of communal showers was better in my opinion. Guys got over their modesty really quick because you had to. I was shy at first (20 years ago), but now I think nothing of it because if you didn't use a communal shower back then you couldn't shower until you got home.

I have attached a picture I found on-line of a typical communal shower and how I remember it used to be common place in my day. Can anyone tell me what is remotely sexual about this scene? I sure don't see it.

If you feel you are going to get a boner, then let it happen. Why should you get anxious and stressed about what others may htink of a perfectly normal occurence? I had a strange experience yesterday in the locker room at the gym where I work out. I happened to finish my workout at the same time as another guy (in his early 20's I would say). I saw him looking at me a few times on the gym floor. Anyhow, in the locker room I stripped off my sweaty clothes to have a shower. As I mentioned in my previous post, the shower is communal with 6 heads and there is a "sissy shower" (a phrase coined by a few guys in the gym) for the shy guys with 2 heads and a curtain. Anyhow, I get into the communal shower and the other guy (whose locker was on the other side of the locker room - around the corner from the communal shower) moves his bag only over to the bench right outside of the communal shower. He doesn't face the wall, instead he faces the communal shower (I was the only one in there) and stares right at my dick and ass! I mean blatantly staring, not just a quick glance. It was like he had never seen another naked guy before. I'm not shy, but that was a little wierd. I said to him "how's it going?" and he snaps out of his stare and mutters "uh, ok". After going back and forth to his locker and the bench where he has placed his bag (with his shorts on), he suddenly whips off his shorts and runs to the sissy shower with the curtain tightly closed. After he's done, he comes out and struts around naked for a minute before running to his locker to put on his clothes out of sight of the communal shower where I was finishing up my shower. From what I saw, he had a kick ass body. I couldn't understand why he would ogle me like that and then run into the sissy shower and hide when he had such an incredible body himself (much better than mine). I heard him talking loudly with another guy outside of the locker room just before we both entered about "my girlfriend this" and "my girlfriend that". This happened to me once when I was about 11 or 12 years old. My Dad and I had been playing basketball at the YMCA and we went to take a shower, it was a open communal shower. There was 3 other older men in the shower when we got there. One was the father of a kid in my class. I was really uncomfortable being naked in front of other guys especially with Dad in the room too. I don't know why I got a boner but I couldn't help it. I tried tio hide it and face the otgher way but there were guys on both sides of me. I just quickly showered and then walked out to grab my towel. I could tell everyone was staring at me and I was so embarrased. I thought for sure my Dad was gonna yeall at me when we got out.
