My nick stems from being a stripper and getting my start in a Ladies Only club. With respect to being a stripper, there’s a big double-standard. A girl gets up on the stage and does her routine. Maybe she wiggles her boobs in some guy’s face or even brings a guy up on the stage with her. But the rule is always the same – the guy doesn’t touch. Gawd, if some guy got up and tried to go for the girl, the bouncers would throw the whole table out. But with male strippers, anything goes. At LaBare, at least in the old days, the ladies were all partying pretty hard by the time the first guy would come out. Then all hell would break loose and the place goes insane. The noise!
