I Quit!!!

After 4 years of sheer hell I have finally walked out of work!!!
Told them I have a back problem.......I won't be back.
It feels like a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders.
No more calls at midnight to say that some lack witt has hurt himself.
No more sinking feeling walking into work.
No more taunts about my lack of sexuality.
No more tearing my hair out wondering why common sense is not so common.
I mean for Gods Sake!!!!
Fire is HOT!!
Molten Metal is HOT!!
Chlorine is Poisonous, don't put it in your mouth!!!
Pinch points PINCH, don't put valued parts of you body in them.
Stay behind the YELLOW LINE or get run down by a forklift!!
Don't set fire to farts on company time and try to claim compensation because you've burnt your ass.
I went out and brought a bottle of Moet.
And I'm going diving on the reef tomorrow.

Good for you. I remember how good it felt to get out of the last job I had that I disliked.

I would rather gargle broken glass or perhaps gouge out my eyes with a spoon than go back and work there.

I just left a job a while back. It was on good terms. My boss knew i had enough towards the end. They werent shocked at all when i said i quit.

How much do you hate that job ? I dont hate my current job but i find it boring.

Good on you Dragonfly! As stated above, no one should have to work at a job they don't like. I feel so bad for people working in de-humanizing, boring jobs. Many people lack the options or the courage to quit a bad situation. I had the same problem in the past, but now I have a nice small business and I'm very happy. Can't wait to get work in the morning!

It was too windy today to get out on the reef so I sat out on the deck of the yacht club and had lunch and watched the yachts tack their way across the harbour!!!!
I could get use to this.
