Interracial Relationships

Has anybody been in an interracial relationship or has had sex with somebody of a different race? How was it?

I'm a gay black male who has been interested in white guys since I was in kindergarten. This blond boy sat in front of me. I wanted to touch him, hug him and kiss him but of course I did not do that. I am 51. This was back in 1962 where nothing was open about being gay. I did not even know that I was gay. I have been in nothing but interracial relationships. What attracts me to white men are their eyes, their nose, their straight hair and curly hair, their slender and flat butts, how they fit in blue jeans. I have seen some guys in beards that really look attractive. What really turns me on are they guys who grow hair on their chin. I also like the moustaches. Lately I have favored the whiter than white guys but I also like guys who have tans and are a little darker. I favor blonds but I also like black hair. A cute guy is a cute guy. We also have some men from India who I work with. There are about four me from India who is really attractive.

My first and best relationship was when I was 19 I met a very cute guy who was a 10. We were very good friends for about five months before we found out that we were gay which made the friendship a bonus. We could talk about anything. We also had lots of fun, more fun than I've had with anybody. He was a great kisser which made me a great kisser. Unfortunately our relationship was far too short. He became sick mentally and was put into a state hospital. He broke away from three guards, broke through a lock door and jumped 8 floors to his death. This happened in 1976. I still think about him from time to time and relished the great times that we had. A year and a half later I attended and graduated from the University of Michigan where all of the great looking guys are at.

I have been in other relationships but not nearly like the first one. I named my computer after this guy. You can be attractive to somebody but you still have to have things in common, love and respect. I have no doubt that we would still be together today if he was still living. Looks will go away with age but it's the person and his personality that counts to me. I can meet a guy who is a four or five but his personality can make him a seven or eight to me.

My most recent lovers have been Near Eastern, Far Eastern, African and American (white/native american). I am a white Western European, so I think I can safely say that it isn't about race for me.

I don't think it is bad to favour a certain skin colour in a potential partner. Just as long as that isn't the only reason you're attracted to him.

I've had oral sex with two girls of different ethnicities, but no long term relationships. Race isn't an issue for me. I think the only time it would be is in terms of being so totally different with regards to background/upbringing/mentality that it just couldn't work out. That's a possibility, but I suppose those differences could exist between two people of the same race too. I will say though, I chatted briefly with a black girl in the past, and I got the 'hell no, you're white?' reaction. I do understand that sort of thing is an exception rather than a rule, and it hasn't put me off other races, but it has made me doubt my own attractiveness to them. It's things like that which have made me just slightly hesitant to approach a woman who isn't white. So it's not for lack of wanting, it's just a kind of 'is this okay to do?' feeling.

Yet again another embarassing THREAD. When are we going to get over this stuff? Why does everyone talk about interacial dating , marriage etc like they just did something special? I think the greater differences are gender, socio economic and cultural. Color has so little to do with it other than how people perceive themselves in relation to it.

I have dated men of African, Asian and European descent and all of them were men... and thus were from Mars and I from Venus. That was our major issue.
