It has been mentioned in the past - I would love to attend - in reality Europe (or currently Australasia) would be great for me but not for the N American or other contingent

I am game for meeting people because I am who I am here.

In 1986 I joined an IRC channel to talk about the Bethsoft game, "Daggerfall." It's a great game, loads of fun (with patches). Some of us have been chatting now since December of 1986. I've met all of the core group except one in real life and each time we've had a great time together. I also belong to Thunder's and we had a NYC meet that went wonderfully. Had dinner, went out to a bar, had a great time.

I'm all for meeting people. I also respect that some people would rather keep their online life online. In some ways I feel bad for them. If you are who you are here, and many people are, then there's nothing to fear.

Each time I've met with people I've known online as friends it has opened new doors in our friendship. That may not happen every time but I also know that people are ends in themselves and they deserve my honesty because there is someone on the other end. I don't lie about anything here. If you meet me in person then I am who I am. If LPSG has taught us anything it's that our fellow members won't give a damn about what's in your pants but what's in your head... at least until a few a drinks have gone down.

How odd that you should mention that; this morning I found my Morrowind CD and installed it again, been playing it for a couple o' hours throughout the day.


As for the topic of meeting people... I've met two members from here, and as they are friends with a number of other LPSG members, it's fairly likely for that number to reach half a dozen sometime next year.

I'd probably want to travel to meet a couple of the people here when I'm stateside, but, umm, no orgies for me, thanks.
