Sex at church

Sex in the church is a one way ticket to Hell. Do not pass go, do not go to purgatory, do not collect $200 out of the offering plate.

What if you don't believe in hell? Do you not think that God created sex? With such a whole world of problems that God has to deal with, why would he/she care were people have sex? As long as noone is getting hurt, who cares?

I'm a little surprised that the views are so strong concerning the sanctity of a church. A college professor friend of mine has spent a good portion of his career exploring eroticism (hetero- and homo-) in religious art (poetry, painting, sculpture). It's amazing how over-the-top dripping in gushing torrents of purple passion much of what is now looked at as classic religious art (and, presumably, sterile due to its religiosity) once was. There are even some saints whose religious revelations were likely more auto-erotic obsessions (based on things like Jesus' passion, bodily wounds, etc) than saint-like behavior.

That said, in college, one of my paramours and I had some multi-orgasmic frolics in what was once a congregational chapel that had long-since been de-sanctified and was used as a college meeting/performance space. Still had the taboo feeling (especially since we had to break in to access it).

Kind of sort of. I saw a homeless couple doing the deed outside the church on a main street in San Francisco. They were totally lost in the act. I don't think they even noticed traffic going by.

Everyone will have their own opinion on this topic--based on values, morals, how the catholic church damaged you, ---you get my drift. For me it is sacred and like Eva said, it is for me about respect. I wouldn't do it, but if I saw it happening I would have to take into account that we all have a difference of opinions. I would be disguisted, but that is my stuff and I would have to deal with it.

Im so naive when it comes to these religious stuff, I was never brought up religious, so have no clue what so ever. I have only been to a church as a tourist, but only found homeless go there to sleep on a hot summer afternoon, so wasn't really a kodak moment for a tourist. Not many people around here goes to church, I always thought they are a bit outdated and science has come so far since the bible was written.

But now Im kinda curious about this money thing, never thought they have that concept of money even in hell, do they preach you about credit cards etc, is it really like the ads you can use your Visa anywhere?

Even I don't believe in it, but apparently Im going to hell, so maybe just incase I should start thinking about saving not just for my retirement but for my time in hell :D

Never in a sanctuary, but I have had various kinds of sex on the
grounds and in non-sanctified buildings.

Of course, there were the times, when in the Boy Youth Choir, we
horsed around and tried to grab each other in the crotch, goose
each other, or give wedges to get each other in trouble with the
choir master. When I was a little older and a member of the Coed

At one time, I thought I wanted to be a priest. During those years
there were a number of sexual encounters with both seminarians and priests. I'm not proud of my actions during that time, and since have
greatly regretted them.

I did do "it" in the basement of a church with an old gf. I was married at the time....so it was adultery in a church....wow talk about big time sins...... But it did not really count because it was not a Catholic church...I was raised Catholic and it was in a Lutheran Church. You know what Lutherans are....Catholics who have looser rules, should's not commandment's and do not believe in the infallibility of the Pope. Hope I did not offend any one out there.... I am politically incorrect and culturally insensitive.

It's just a matter of respect for others. I'm not like a religious freak here but I couldn't fathom having sex in any sort of religious institution.

I had sex many times in the house the nuns used to live in for the catholic school accross the street. I think it would be uber hillarious to have sex on a church property... I hear the kids at the daycare there now screaming out their ABC's and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and I totally stop and loose my mood.
