Fake profiles and photos?

Do you think it`s ok to portray yourself as something else, and would you consider this false advertising, or floating other lpsg members? Also, is this fair to the rest of us?

Example: Taking photos out of a porn mag to make their galleries and avatars seem as though it`s them.

For avatars, it doesn't bother me much. For gallery photos, I don't like it. It's scummy.

No, I wouldn't do that. All my pics are me, and were taken by me with no photoshoping.

Yes, I do think fake pics are false advertising, and unfair to the real, honest members here.

I agree. No fakes. No photoshop'd. No "borrowed".

There is someone for every type here. No need to lie just to get attention.

Don't like fakes!!!

Avatars are different, we have all kinds of things in our avatars. I didn't really just come down to Earth from a spaceship and ask to "Take me to your men!" after all!

Oh, and I'm not really green either. Wonder what that would come under for "Race/Ethnicity" though? I guess, "Other"? heehee...

I would only post my own photos. I would prefer that other members do the same. Let's just be ourselves. We're all great in our own way!

I don't really care what is in an avatar, but if you post fakes, or photoshopped images in your gallery, I think you should be called out and exposed as a fraud. If you post Peter North in your gallery and say it's you, when it isn't (hey, he COULD be here ), then you need to be called out. If you put his pic in your gallery and say, "Peter North is my fav" or whatever, I don't have a problem with that. When people are upfront about things, I don't have an issue. It's when deception comes into play, that I start getting a bit bent outta shape.

I know that`s not you, you are not one of the perpetrators, i`m talking about the avatars that come across decievly as they are from their photo galleries as well and they use the avatar to support their deception.

LOL - I knew that nobody thought my avatar was me. I was just making a funny, as Foghorn Leghorn would say. "I made a funny!" (That line always cracked me up...)
