Amy Winehouse's 'terrifying' overdose

She just doesn't get it. It sad. She has so much talent and such a future. I won't be surprised if she winds up dead within two years.

It is sad because she does have a lot of talent.

But when I hear "overdose" and "Amy Winehouse" in the same sentence, I don't think "terrifying."

Instead, I think, "Typical Sunday morning, probably."

You got that right. She was always a real heavy partier from what she has said in past interviews. The stress on her to produce is massive. Her first album was an out of the blue hit. Naturally when "Back to Black" came out, the record company pushed Amy out on promo tour and the like. It's hard and if she doesn't have her dad around, she is lost a lot of the time.

rather than looking at rehab as "A cop out", she needs to see it as an enhancement. Dad can sort her, but rehab will help her set her life up to avoid it altogether.

Such a shame for such a huge talent.

Too much money for a girl of 23...and no-one to say no!

But deep down isn't this attitude and behaviour what attracts many in the first place. Wel look to artistes with a faltering grip on their genius to inspire and reaffirm our selves... their "damage" and "history" attaches us to them and underlines the heartfelt, honest, quality of their lyrics/work.

I'd rather have ten Amy's than a single Pete Doherty...

This is what upsets me about the song "Rehab" ... she should have really said yes yes yes.

I wish her well, she deserves our support, not censure- I know I've been a bit messy myself after "overindulging" luckily I am not splashed all over the tabloids...

Oh agreed! In hindsight I didn't mean to seem so flip... I love her work and I hate to see her suffer like this.
