New Membership Options

Like buying it as a gift. I think other websites have that option. I'm all for posting pictures or having a certian number of valid good posts to be able to be gold or whatever. I just feel that it is totally unfair to revoke PM usage and chat.

couldn't agree more with TK. I don't have the extra cash to be spending on getting features. But the content I put on this site I try to make valuable. No, I may not have a million posts but I would rather have posts with some good content than just wracking up post to get a membership increase status. I enjoy chat but I don't have the funds to be a paying member for that. As for paying to upload my pics, no way! But I like the idea that people can not copy pics from the forum gallery!

To avoid abuse there could be a time variable involved, like only 10 posts per day are counted toward the free membership and/or you need to be a member for at least x months. Also giving a discount rather than free membership may discourage abuse, but still encourage participation.

I think members should be rewarded for contributing quality posts and pictures since they attract more paying members.

I mostly just read and post to the forums, so the only thing I would gain from being a paying member is the occasional picture I'd like to see full size. I'd probably pay $30 per year for that, but maybe not $60.

I would post pictures if I were rewarded for it.

I like the idea of letting us decide which things we'd like to pay for. An a la carte system of sorts, whereby we can choose the things we most want to be able to use here. The only thing I can't do without here, and would also be willing to pay any significant amount of money for, is the ability to post in and read the Etc., Funny Stuff, and Celebrity Endowments forums. I can do without things like PMs, avatar, siggy, access to chat (which I've never used here), the gallery, the arcade, and all the forums that I didn't list above. I receive PMs occasionally, so I might pay for a modest amount of those. But not if it's too high a price. I have the email addresses of all my regular PM buddies anyway. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't have money to burn. If it's too high and I can't afford it, then that will be the end of it for me. I am, however, willing to contribute as much as I can monetarily to help out the site.

I believe that CHAT should be a Membership-only benefit.

We get SO many morons in the chat that just come in there to masturbate in secret while their partners are in the other room sleeping. It would be nice to have a way to filter out these folks to make a more sane chat environment. It would also keep out all of the underage people that we've been getting in there recently.

And while I'm talking about chat...not to beat a dead horse, but how about more thought about integrating my Video Chat room into LPSG??? It's getting a lot of use these days - this past Saturday we had nearly 20 people using it!

As much as I promote it, I'm amazed at how many people still do not know about it.

My earlier idea about adding a screen that comes up when you click the main CHAT button that simply says, "Video Chat" or "Text Chat" and one will take you to the regular chat room and one to my Video Chat would work well.

There are some morons who just turn up once in the chat room or repeatedly come back just to waffle on about camming but they're not all free members, if I had to pay to use this site unfortunately I'd go to another site, I'm never going to pay to be on a site where I'm letting them post naked pictures of me which I contribute for free.

Just remember, I'm a frigging exhibitionist! Of course I'd pay to show off! And of course I want more people to be able to look at the big pics!!!

But I will say that the majority of members aren't students and do have credit cards. If you can afford a night out drinking, you can afford to buy a membership here at the site.

I was pondering this last night, and I thought of something that hasn't been mentioned yet, and might work very well:

A Reward Points System.

In this, you would earn reward points for contributing to the site, and could then cash in points toward various levels of membership on a continuing basis.

So, a 6-month silver membership could cost $5.00 or 1000 reward points. After the six months, if the membership was purchased with reward points, it would revert to "free" if the member had not either earned enough reward points to renew, or paid the ongoing membership fee.

This would encourage not just participation in the site, but ongoing participation.

A gold membership would just cost more points, but would also have to be renewed by earning more points.

Or, it could be even more simple:

x number of reward points = coupon for y dollars off your membership.

People could cash in their points for a promo code, which they could enter when paying. That would help, for example, if someone had earned enough points for a silver membership, but wanted a gold. Every 1000 reward points would give them a gift certificate for $5.00. If a 6-month gold membership costed $19.95 or 4000 reward points, and they had 2000, they could use 2 $5.00 gift certificates and pay $9.95.

Suggested ways of earning Reward Points (and this is just off the top of my head; would definitely need some refinement):

• 1 point per post
• 1 point for every 3 gallery comments (?)
• 10 points for every photo posted (with a limit of up to 20 in a gallery per 6 months?)
• 100 points for a "verified sexy" photo as you described earlier

Of course, you would have to monitor people who were just spamming the boards or posting duplicate pics to earn points, suspend those accounts when found, and modify the TOS accordingly...

But it could work, and spare you the possible expense of a lot of "lifetime" members, and encourage continued participation in the site.

And, if you wanted to get really silly, you could call them "Penis Points."

And we want to look at them!
