Does the owner have a business mission statement and brand vision for this site?

I think it is important for the management to have a clear and shared set of brand values and to enforce and reinforce these at all times. This sets the standards and culture of a site. I am not sure that this has been happening.

mindseye is online now

There were over fifty posts that evolved into a sub-discussion on banning notification, and I've moved these posts into a separate thread here.

Sorry - to be completely transparent - what I mean is, that it should have absolutely no relevance what you are, who you are, who you like to fuck, what colour you are, what age you are, what religion you are, what nationality you are etc etc etc, it is rather what makes us all the same, namely that we like being here, and those who sadly no longer have that choice. This is what the Moderating team should represent and uphold. Not a list of rules, no matter how well written and thought through.

RobE needs to know this and act upon it.

Oh how duplicitously kind of you.

Back to my topic which you moved-

A cloaking device of moderator status.

This would keep the who is and who is not a moderator quiet/concealed. In the same manner in which we click on a button to report a bad post, there would be a button (perhaps the same one) to contact a moderator, even for not so much bad posts as a personal harrassment.

Moderators would not be then attacked within threads or criticized for not responding enough to certain threads. Nobody would know if they had or had not responded, they would be regular members here as far as anyone could tell. Things beyond that would still operate in the same manner-underage violators banned rapidly, trolling possibles and other problems would be discussed by moderators and then a ban would or would not be enacted-nobody would be any the wiser as to who had been part of the vote or could contact them and complain. Moderators would get to enjoy the same freedoms as all the other members-after all they are members. They would not however be subjected to having their personal mailboxes filled with rants. Those rants would go to the Moderator mailbox, which they would all have access to.

Again, this is about a cloaking device of showing a moderator status.

Pro - this method releases the moderators from the peer pressure of personal accountability.

Con - this method releases the moderators from the peer pressure of personal accountability.

More like we have half of the cloak. It's an imperfect tool.

So much for weighing the pros and cons.

Sometimes you really have to push to get that last bit in there.
I'm braced for it, give it to me.

We usually do that via comments or threads.
