hate rapidshare

what codec do I need for these files? I just upgraded the player and now I wish I hadn't.

Yep... certain internet service providers use a form of cache proxy which means it's simply impossible for their customers to download from Rapidshare. No matter how many times they enter the correct code for the free download, they'll be taken to the 'please try again' page. So when they say "No dice!", they mean that quite literally... they can't get anything from the site.

People with that issue (and those without it) can all generally download from Megaupload, although I find that site much, much, much slower. But it solves the problem of people who can't download.

For files under 11Mb in size, though, the best site by far imho is badongo.com, which will play the video on-screen (as well as giving a download option). For example:

The live on-screen play option disappears at badongo if the video exceeds 11Mb, though.

Why not upload 'em to Mediafire or Megaupload? They don't have limits for downloading which means we'd stop whining about it...

I personally quite like rapidshare - I choose to pay a premium which I consider to be worth it for the multiple and in my opinion quick download features.
Never had a problem with it.
In fact I have really enjoyed everything I've downloaded from there , at this site and elsewhere - thanks stratedude for your links
