I don't know how either megaupload or rapidfile works for uploads. Both allow free downloads after a brief wait (45 seconds for mega, two minutes for rapid s... but only on the first one or two downloads - after that, "rapid" share makes you wait an increasing length of time for each successive download...as much as two hours). And in some countries you have to sign up for "premium" access.

To download on mega you enter the three letters at the top of the screen, click on download, then 45 seconds later you click on free download and then a "save to" popup.

Rapidshare works in similar fashion except the time is counted down first, then comes the numbers and letters you have to enter to begin the download process. RShare hides its figures partially behind pussies and bow-wows...cute but annoying. If you misread it you have to start all over again.

The downloads are slightly faster with rshare, but if you have to wait up to two hours between them it sorta defeats the purpose.

Mega has a cutoff of maximum allowable bytes downloaded per day. But that max is pretty high.
