I've had very similar experiences, but here in San Diego I've found out that things are a bit different. At least some of the men at the gym here are also gay. Limerick (hell all of Ireland) isn't particularly known for being gay friendly.

Best advice I'd give would be to:

1) Stop looking, turn and face the wall/shower. At least make a conscious effort not to stare.
2) Focus on getting clean and getting out of there. Avoid washing yourself "down there" any more than necessary.
3) Sneak your peek when changing/drying not when your actually in the shower.
4) Find a gym with more Gays.


I'm certain all the straights understand that there will be some gay guys in the gym, but that doesn't mean that they are there to put on a show. Do your workout, a quick shower, and go home. Then you can really think about all that straight cock you've been oogling. I've always found that the showers/locker rooms were the best motovation for actually going to the gym, but I also try to be considerate.

I've been in the gym when some old guy is stroking himself in the showers, and even if I am gay this was definately *not* cool.

I'm curious to see what the "Straights" have to say about gays in the locker room.
