I think you're right that it has been a mystery up until now because people have been claiming different things - some saying they weren't circumcised, and some saying they were. No one was able to prove it one way or another.
However, I was just sent this link today from a friend who found it on a British Jewish website and it contains an admission by the Chief Mohel of England that he circumcised William and Harry. This comment has been there since he was invited to Charles and Camilla's wedding in 2005, so I'm surprised it hasn't been posted on more sites by now:
I think someone from here should just write to either Prince and ask them personally. They seem like nice enough guys, they'd probably humor us with a photo .
The answer to that should be pretty obvious. Knowing intimate details about celebrities (or regular people) makes it easier to fantasize about them. I'd say that 99.9% of us will never even get close to either prince naked but there's a little something naughty and fun in knowing them so personally .
