Guilty! Back in the '80s, I had white surf trunks with light blue panels on the sides. They had a 6" inseam compared to the knee length surf shorts currently available. Another good item for the beach or pool is mesh gym/basketball shorts. I have about 30 different pair - mostly Champion, Nike, and Russell Athletic.
