Sex supposed to be rough and quick?

From an historical perspective and a scientific one, being that sex or intercourse is a historical genetic event designed to multiply the species. Did men back in the day just find women to get off of in hopes of impregnating them and also to get off after working or fighting? In this case it was probably quick sessions and probably running off to another woman(ofcourse pre-HIV), especially soldiers invading other territories.

Im not saying there was no passion but for some reason in my opinion I think it was just quick sessions, really deep and rough. LOL

I usually like rough, deep and quick, especially after a stressful day.
