Has anyone here got experience of recreational use of viagra by those that arn`t impotent? In particular I am curious to know if once you have started to use it do you then start to need it?

I've wondered this, Im more of a marathon runner than a sprinter, but during the course of it I probably vary an inch in length or so, wouldn't viagra help me keep my 'max' at all times, or is it not such a good idea?

I'm not a nurse/doctor but in chats with medical friends they've said that a guy with normal penile function can maintain an erection for so long after viagra that he can actually get gangrene - there was a fairly famous case in England where some schoolboys (can't remember which school) took viagra for a laugh and all ended up at casualty four hours later

You are correct. I wouldn't touch that stuff unless I really did have erectile
problems. I have had people try to give me some of it. I just tell them thanks, but I don't need it.

I have taken viagra a couple of times just to see what happens. It seems to me that I felt "harder" and slightly fatter. The only thing that I could relate it to was that more blood was in my penis due to taking the pill. As a result I felt harder than ever. Other than that, I didn't see any difference, other than the green/blue glow to things in the light. The amount of my cum seemed to be about the same. Really don't need it.

Close, Princess, but thanks for reiterating.

The danger is not so much of priapism (unrelenting, damaging erection) but more a problem of other circulatory problems. Drug interactions and predisposition can cause deadly drop in blood pressure, heart attack, or stroke. I'm really surprised that the UK would allow this drug over the counter.

Jeeze, if you take it to experiment, maybe don't take a full pill?

Also, I guess I need to sleep more. When I glanced over this post, I read "recreational use of vagina" and just found that hilarious for some reason.

A lot of younger (age 30+) guys at saunas take the little blue pill ...
They cannot possibly "need" it .
They must want to be supermen ?
I imagine they get psychologically dependant on its' effects .
Evidently, many escorts/masseurs use Viagra.
Part of the gay-for-pay syndrome !.

I am in my 50's and don't need the viagra but a friend of mine needed a script and got cialis. He let me try one, stayed up until I got off. With cialis you go up and down for 36 hours based upon stimulation, but I am sure all the other warnings apply to this med as well. I get harder and fuller with the pill but just as much fun without it. Man talk about a morning woodie!!!

When using any of the ED pills, it isn't necessary to take the entire pill. The best dosage varies from one individual to the next, regardless of whether you really have ED, or are just trying to boost your performance.

Most men experience at least a very gradual decline in erectile capacity over the course of their lives, and small dose of one of the ED pills can help offset that.

The pills all have undesirable side effects, like headaches, etc. The smaller the dose you take, the less you'll experience the side effects.

The worst side effect is anorgasmia, which is delayed ejaculation. It can be torture to stay hard for several hours and not be able to cum.

If you're trying one of these drugs for the first time, the best thing to do is take a small fraction of one pill to see how you react to it, and then gradually increase the dose until you get the desired effect.

I occasionally take a little Cialis, but never more than 1/8 of a 20mg pill.

Ok,
I am a nurse (RN with masters degree). If you take viagra, and do not have issues with impotence, you won't hurt yourself. Viagra does not cause or create any issues with drug dependance. If occasionally you can't get it up, but are fine otherwise, viagra can't hurt you either.

In some cases, if erectile dysfunction is treated at earlier stages more sucessfully if you experience only occasional erectile dysfunction. Late stage erectile dysfunction doesn't respond as well as early stage erectile dysfunction does. In any case, go see your doctor. It's confidential, and there is no shame in it at all. We deal with it VERY frequently in the office, and it's no big deal. A healthy sex life is important to everyone.

But why waste your money? A cure for wiskey dick? don't bother, you'll probably just get light headed and puke on her/his back anyhow.

If you are using Viagra/Cialis/Levitra recreationally remember;

1.) Don't take it if your on ANY heart medication (nitrates)

2.) Don't combine it with excessive alcohol consumption.

3.) Don't take it and go into a hot tub, sauna, or environment with excessive heat. This drug causes a slight decrease in blood pressure, easily tolerated by healthy men, but can become dangerous if you elevate your body temperature at the same time. If you are in this situation and you feel light headed, or nauseated, sit down immediately. If it dosen't subside, drink a glass of water and lay down. If no relief, go to the emergency room.

4.) If your erection is persistently hard longer than 4 hours, go to the hospital. You could have a blood clot. This RARELY happens. But, if so, is better treated sooner than later....your dick could get gangrene, and need to be amputated. remeber 4 hours.

5.) Don't take more than one Viagra every 24 hours (max dose is 100mg/24 hours). Only take one Cialis/Levitra every 36 hours. Do NOT exceed this dose. It could kill you.

6.) Take a Tylenol or Advil with your Viagra. A lot of guys get a bad headache from these kind of medications. If you pre-medicate for the headache, it will not arrive...or will be much less severe.

Enjoy your recreational erection. Play safe and make sure you have someone who wants to play with your penis, or you could sprain your elbow. :)

as you said in your post that you get a decline in blood presure that would account for side effects i experienced of a flash on whiteness in my vision and a happy light headienss.

I think its safer to take Viagra/Cialis/Levitra than some of the over-the-counter pills sold at the local convience stores for ED. Has anyone read the ingredients in these things??!!! I'm not so sure they are all that safe, given that there are no long term studies on long term side effects. Super Horny Goat Weed, etc. etc. One time I accidently took a Viagra in the evening after I took an over -the-counter pill that morning....I was sicker than a dog (stomach...headache...shakes)...yeah, I had a woodie...almost too sick to use it!!
As I'm getting older, my erections are not what they used to be and I do need the help from time to time (about once or twice a month).
