Speedo, wear it UP or Down?

Before swimming I pack everything in, point it down & hope for the best. When I get out of the pool it is usually pointing to the side or sometimes up. I feel it is looking for freedom while I swim or play sports.
I hate real speedos and wear "contour pouch" speedo type suits for laps, water polo or other sports type swimming.

That may be part of the explanation. I always wear mine down, as that's the way it goes naturally. But most of the people I see at my swimming club wear it up.

Pointing it down if you're overly endowed just makes it look like you took a shit in your speedos and left it there.

When I was on a swim team, I tucked it "down" for control. Otherwise, it would flop over to the side and end up in the leg crease area. It would require constant adjusting if up.

If you get a semi-erection, which happens in speedos now and again (or is it just me?) its impossible to remain modest pointing up, and my experience of putting it on the side somehow increases the erection, because I know everyone can see the outline. Adjusting it then, even under a towel, just makes the reaction worse. And then you have towel tent. Its uncomfortable down, but its the only way to go if you are on a team or similar and you don't want to call undue attention. Now, if you are on some beach and you do......
I never thought anyone else would worried about this but me. Hm.

When i was younger I would wear it to the side at my hip, yes i would get semis more often but it felt heavier and hotter.

i usually wear it down...but theres just something about putting on a speedo that gets me hard immediately.

I've seen pictures of guys pointing it upwards while wearing bodysuits, speedos etc, and the shape of their junk is REALLY, REALLy, REALLY obvious, even from a distance. Unless you want everyone to see your penis, please (for the love of mercy) keep it down.

I would suspect the main reason for other positions, is that not all penises lie the same way, and for some, or for fit, other positions work better? Down would seem best for most people.

And isn't the shape of the penis, kind of obvious, just by wearing a speedo?

Down for me, but I've never had any speedos. Swimtrunks worked fine for me.

had one for swim team and always dressed Down.
now I only wear them for tanning and it's either down or to the side
