I think boxer briefs of a sturdy cotton, with a good contoured pouch are best. Boxer briefs from Sonoma (Kohl's) and 2(x)ist are the one I like the most. The Sanoma ones come in white, heather, gray, charcoal, blue or black with thick white horizontal stripes (shows the shape of the bulge a lot) and blue or black with a equal white stripes. (striped or solid)

If I might need to run at a gathering, I always wear spandex under my dark Umbros or sweats.

I only go commando if I want people to notice because they always seem to notice. I have only worn boxers at "boxer parties" and the like.
