i agree with you... i think most women are smart enough to stroke the male ego when it comes to penis size. that being said i think both men and women exxagerate. most women do so because they have no real idea of measurements in length and girth (there are even way too many comments on these boards of ex's being 12" long and 8" thick). like has been said... not impossible... just extremely unlikely. or they've been lied to by their partners since most men tend to know roughly what they are but inflate the figures. it ends up skewing peoples overall perception and really causes most of the insecurity that exists around the whole size issue.

Ok, this is at least somewhat related. I've found that women tend to really over estimate how big I actually am. I have had women voluntarily tell me that I am big. After an ex-girlfriend kept going on about it I asked her, "so, how big do you think I am?" I was amazed when she said 10 inches, because I'm just barely 8 inches, a little over 6 girth. After that, I ask women how big they think it is when I get the "you're really big" comments and almost always its 9 or ten inches that they guess, if not more. Have you guys experienced this? It makes me wonder how acurately they can tell you what they think big is if they don't really know what the actual measurements mean. Anyway, this is a cool thread.

So as a guy with a 7 incher you would be bigger than 60% of all other men and only 10% of men would be bigger than you. Surely that makes you big? Obviously once subdivisions come in the percentages change but I bet statistically a 7 inch dick is probably bigger than like 60 - 70 per cent of penises.

Ummm hang on I've lost myself here...I think my point is that, for straight guys, don't listen to what other guys say after all most of us have only seen our own penis erect and various porn stars. Listen to the ladies, I think they have a more accurate view of where big starts.

Oh yeah and I just wanted to check if anyone else had noticed this difference between the sexes.

Interesting how the perception of big can be so different. I'm similar size to you, but haven't had any girl telling me that I'm big. And that influences my perception of big, since I don't seem myself as big...

...according to her. Remember, if all you have to go on is her word, there could be any number of reasons she's overstating this guy's size. It sounds like the guy was definitely big, but "halfway up his chest" could mean anything. How tall was he? If he was a shorter guy, that would reduce the size accordingly. Plus, where exactly is "halfway up his chest"? I usually picture the middle of the chest as around nipple height -- there's no way this guy's dick reached that high. Is it the belly button? Or above that? And so on.

You sound like you have a good attitude about it, so I'll leave off on elaborating further. I hope you learned your lesson, though -- don't pry about past boyfriends unless you know for a fact that you're bigger!

My girlfriend thinks I have a pretty big dick and in fact I am the biggest she's ever seen/been with. I'm not really huge by any means compared to other guys on the site, I'm just 7 x 6, but I know just from experience that A) I'm bigger than most guys and B) every girl I've ever been with says I have a big dick and loves that I do.

That being said, why ruin a good thing? No way in hell I tell my girlfriend that I'm not as big as some guys. Its an ego thing. I'm sure that knowledge wouldn't surprise her, but why would I want her thinking about OTHER guy's dicks?

Besides she can't even take all of me which is presenting its own fun dilemnas.

Good point. If a girl ever asked, I'd be more than happy to be a part of her "trophy case." The idea of her using the photo as "leverage" in an argument with later boyfriends -- "This is what I'm missing!" -- is sort of hot in an odd way.

It's not like I think that scenario would ever happen in real life (and if it did, I'd find it a bit scary to learn that an ex was that vindictive); it's just a bit of a mini-fantasy.
