I'm 25% Italian (all on my mother's father's side), although people that know/meet me in real life never believe that when I tell them. A common comment from people online that see my full pic is that I look German, which considering I'm 25% that as well, kinda makes sense.

Anyways, out of my 4 grandparents, the one with whom I share the fewest physical traits with is that same grandfather. This always kinda saddened me, because he was easily the coolest member of my family and the one I'd most want to be like in life: very loving to his friends and family, easy going, and an all around nice guy. (these are all traits the rest of my family most certainly do not share!)

Recent revelations within my family, however, seem to point to the fact that my size 'down there' came from him - it most certainly does not run in my father's side of the family, but my mother mentioned in passing that I "take after (my) grandfather," (she knows as she had to help bathe him in his final days). I know that these bits of information don't really mean anything, but I'd like to believe that they do. I mean... while it's not a story I can share with others, the idea that I inherited what is in many ways the most unique, special part of my body from him is something that I just... like to believe.

Vanity? it's just a pride, and i think everyone must be proud of his country...We envy northen countries for their organisazion, for their careness of the nature, their pragmatic, but we'r also proud of our "latin loving", our creativness and cultural inheritance and sure...our size...

All the thing that other countries do is envy us for the thing we'r proud and accuse us when something (often) doesnt go well in italy, for our mafia, for our police and...how many Frenches and how many Germans think that we stole the world cup?? i think the most...
But, what about them?? I dont think their so proud for the beautyness of their country, and all the things that nothern politician can do, is accuse italy for everything...

I'm happy that you'r proud to be half English and half Scottish, and i can congratulate you for your love for the music, your beautiful landscape and for your never-late-buses, but i will never accuse you to be "vain" becoz it's normal to be proud of own country ;)

Part Italian here-- my mother's family is Venetian and my father's family is Genovese. I'm mixed with other things, too--French, German, Irish, Swiss--but I'm about 3/4 Italian.
