Body fat %

Checked mine out of interest - 18 - 20% range depending which way through you measure. I imagine that when I was boxing, I would have been closer to 10%. I am not 21 anymore

Well, Honey, women physically need a higher percentage than men, otherwise you couldn't have those lovely tits & hips.

There's a reason that so many female athletes (most especially gymnasts and bodybuilders who are obsessive about keeping their body fat low) have irregular or non-existent periods. They just don't have the raw materials in their bodies to keep up the hormone cycles.

When I'm within my target weight range (172 - 178 lbs) my BMI is 21 (good is 20-25) and a 6 pack starts to show. Good quality food, not too much of it and no/little alcohol, and regular exercise also helps. 14 lbs overweight at the moment, all of it goes around the middle!

And to be fair... ectomorphs (a.k.a. skinny, can't put on muscle well, very low body fat, lean and tight muscle building) may not have a lot of muscle, but it's the muscle-to-fat ratio that counts for your body. You can have double-digit percentages and still look great. It's dependent on how big and filled out you are everywhere else.

Me, I've got pretty low fat -- 5-6%. This one muscley dude I know claims 3 or 4% for himself. Then again, he seems like the embellishing for embellishment's sake in most areas of his life anyway...

dont know how you measure it, but running some 1mile - 2km (3-7 times a week) surely helps!¨for building muscles, gym and weights.

i am so jealous of you guys, i haven't been eatting that much junk food within the last month or so, versus before but for some dumb reason i gained like 20lbs, and i'm mad piss i just don't really understand why, probally because i eat too much bread or something...
