In High School, my wrestling coach would some times, not regularly, shower with the team after a match. Now that I think about it, just the home matches, never the away's. Never seemed strange, odd or weird. We just hated it because we had to behave ourselves, not that we ever got much of a chance to get out line, since the coaches office was right across the hall leading to the locker room, which was wide open to the glass windows in their office.
