I was actually just wondeirng about this myself, yesterday...

Mine also points STRAIGHT UP against my belly even when I'm am standing up (literally like a pole), when I am really turned on. It's also quite painful to move it past the horizontal...

I remember like Matt, discovering that not all penises pointed straight up and being kind of horrified for a minute. If I remember correctly.... I read somewhere angle of erection is a function of age. In other words, the younger you are the higher up your erection points. The older you are the lower the angle of your erection....younger vertical, older horizontal, older yet well not quite horizontal. Of course, this is while standing upright.
