A few years ago the USA network (or maybe it was Nick at Night) had a late-night program that put new dialog to old movies (such as the voices of Lucy and Desi dubbed over the movie D. O. A.)
Another of the movies this program made hilarious was an old Sherlock Holmes adventure with Basil Rathbone. He has met a little girl at a New York port and brilliant-detectively says to her, "You arrived by boat, didn't you?"
She resonds incredulously, "No ship, Sherlock!" |
