Yeah, the more you stress and freak out about it, the more likely you are, I think, to get an unwanted boner. For that matter, I think your average guy in the locker room is going to plump up a little bit anyway, even just being in a hot and steamy environment. Depending on how "older" the guy is, he probably won't give you much shit for something your hormones can't control, anyway. And even if someone does say something to you about it or try to cause trouble, you can always deflect it. If someone approaches on, turn it around by saying, "You're looking at it. What's your problem?"

Okay, maybe not that sassy, but you get the idea...

But the real question is, who goes to the locker room and struts around in some state of arousal for the sake of showing off? And why?

Me: I'm pretty passive about showing off. I hang pretty big soft and I'm big hard too and I've had unwanted boners. I think it's just a matter of working out and getting the blood flowin', personally. It's not like I'm staring at dudes' asses. And on occasion, I've seen a guy glance down or nod or something like that. Didn't make a big sense but you could see that he was confirming that I was big, maybe especially because I'm a lean built dude. I appreciate that, but the "showing off" hasn't been any more intense than that.

I could care less if somebody gets an accidental hardon, and would not give yours a second thought. Normal guys will not care a bit. If you don't make a big deal out of it, why would they? It is not worth worrying about, and I doubt if older guys have skins so thin you have to protect them from the shock of seeing another guy's dick, hard or soft. I don't think age matters either.

Most guys in gyms are not going to be easily upset. How can you be a macho weightlifter or athlete and then suddenly start acting like a nun or a prude once you're naked? If somebody does get squeemish about the sight of your dick, you can always tell them there is a girls gym up the street.

If it's just a natural occuring deal, don't make a big deal out of it and it wont bother peeps like me. Call attention to yourself or play with it, that would bother me.
If it bugs ya, wank before you leave home. If still horned up, wank in the john and then shower.

I don't see a problem with it. Wrap a towel around you while going to the shower, then put a towel back on when getting out. If you are hard while showering, so what, as long as you are not playing with yourself. Yes make the water a little colder, maybe keep ur back to others as much as possible if you are hard, don't star at others and you should be fine. Check out the "open locker room showers" thread. There really seemed to be no big deal that these guys were hard when I was there. MOst of us get a semi while showering. If i looked like you I wouldn't give a big shit.

Since we "older guys" have a special invitation, I'll chime in. Several have included do not give eye contact when you notice your boner being watched. This is the key caution and likely will keep any unwanted action from taking place. The second suggestion re. not turning around and showing any more than necessary is also critical in this scene. The last shower head against a back wall is better than any other, too. It's apparent when the owner of the interested subject is or isn't receptive and the vast majority of those who find boners of interest don't have the fortitude to go beyond looking and admiring when it's obviously unwelcomed.
