I can't remember exactly what he said; probably my parents needed to explain it to me.
He was testing me for allergies in connection with childhood asthma; I had a bit of associated eczema as well. But the apparent eczema rash on my inner upper thighs wasn't eczema at all, but soreness from the friction caused by my oversized genitals. You'd have thought that the cause would have been obvious to my mother, but apparently not. There was some attempt to deal with it by changing to a different style of underwear, and by applying a lot of talc and lotion. It got better, then worsened when I began to grow in earnest, and didn't go completely until I began to wear a jockstrap in my teens.
As a result, I suppose after that from around age 7 or 8 I knew I had a "big willy" but gave hardly any thought to it until puberty kicked in.
