Today I had a neat experience at the gym that relates to the original topic.

A cute guy about my age (early 30's) and I ended up in the locker room at the same time. It's a small, mostly hetero older men crowd and a small but very nice gym. We had lockers in the same row and made brief eye contact while undressing. I knew he was gay but I wear a gold band on my ring finger (I have a partner who also wears one) so I'm sure he thought I was straight.

I headed to the showers and this cute hung guy came in about a minute later. We still hadn't said anything to each other at this point. I took a quick rinse and went for a sit in the sauna. When I came out after about 5 minutes, he was still in the shower and sported a halfie. I thought of how funny this was--playing this peek a boo game! I only know of about two other gay guys at this gym so I decided to play along and began to soap myself up to half hard or more.

He shut off his shower and headed into the steam room. Now I thought, I've got to meet this guy, because this is so silly. So, I entered the steam room and sat down beside him and said,
"Nice cock, " with a laugh. We exchanged names and I mentioned how I didn't think there were many other gay guys at the gym and I explained my ring (he thought I was married).

We were both totally hard at this point and just sat back in the steam next to each other laughing, chatting and stroking ourselves a bit with a couple of playful strokes of each other, comparing size, etc. The thing was that it wasn't really sexual and we weren't trying to get off. It was nice to be in this kind of situation where there was no expectation of sex. It was just a couple guys hanging out naked with erections and not being self conscious about it.

We headed to the showers half hard after about 10 minutes and then went on our separate ways. I have a lot of great gay friends but can't imagine having this same kind of intimate interaction with them. It was really unique and poignant, however short lived!
